Grace is designer with formal training as a fine artist.

In her previous work, she made analog photo-sculptures that acted as the representation of a physical index of memory and its inaccuracies. These images were often larger-than-life and scuffed up as a reflection of faulty internal narratives. Her work encourages dialogue around the ravine between the documented and the decaying web of the lived.

At Gensler, Grace supports all practice areas across the Detroit, Minneapolis, and Chicago offices in business development and creative services. Through her artistic skills, she creates visually compelling content that captivates audiences and communicates brand messages effectively. She also serves as an All-Team Representative for the Community Impact Team.

Grace’s BFA was supplemented by a studio practice in Copenhagen dedicated to interior architecture and sustainable design standards. She was based in Jackson Hole at the onset of the pandemic and relocated to the countryside to apprentice on a diversified family farm. Grace has also lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and managed a hydroponic greenhouse that provided produce to vendors, grocers, and shelters. Withal, she is glad to be back in the design world and has loved the soft rumble of Chicago trains in recent years.

Ongoing, she authors a newsletter on Substack called Desire Path 1 and develops design systems around human behavior, specifically in interior design contexts.

Grace's interests include: reading, garment design and construction, backpacking, cross-country skiing, and woodworking.
